Candace Griffith was appointed Chief of Probation on January 4, 2023. The Chief of Probation supervises the daily operations of the Court’s probation department, while also maintaining the overall security of the building. Additional responsibilities include administrative, fiscal and statistical functions as well as policy development and implementation.
Chief Griffith graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 2007 and continued on to earn her Baccalaureate of Arts in Criminal Justice at the University of Findlay in 2010. In 2011, she earned her Ohio Peace Officer certification through Owens Community College. After completing the police academy, she gained employment with the City of Findlay Police Department where she completed 4 years of service as a patrol officer. In 2015, she was hired at the Findlay Municipal Court Probation Department as a Probation Officer and completed the Ohio Probation Officer training program in 2016. She later completed level one of the Court Management Program in 2021 through the Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College and is a Certified Court Manager. She was promoted to Assistant Chief Probation Officer in 2022 and then took over the Chief’s position in 2023.
