Upon retiring as Director of External Affairs for AT&T, Dennis accepted the opportunity to utilize his leadership expertise as City Councilman for 2nd Ward. He brings four decades of experience in civic activities, governmental relations, public relations, and community outreach. He currently serves as Board Chair for the Northwest Ohio Area Office on Aging Foundation, Director Emeritus of the Fostoria Economic Development Corporation, as well as serves on the Findlay Rotary Board of Directors and the Hancock County Republican Central Committee.
His early career path included ten years as an Urban Planner, followed by fifteen years as an Economic Development executive – working with city, county, state and federal representatives to improve communities, promote educational enhancement, attract new business and facilitate the growth / development of existing manufacturing.
A graduate of the University of Toledo (BA in Economics), Dennis also attained credentials from the American Institute of Certified Planners and Boston College, the Lucas County Local Government Leadership Academy and the FBI Citizens Academy. His professional achievements include being named “Ohio Economic Developer of the Year” by the ODA, receiving formal recognition from Governor Bob Taft for “Dedicated & Exemplary Public Service” as well as from the Ohio Senate for “Outstanding Service”.
Dennis looks forward to contributing his experience and insight toward improving the community of Findlay where he and his wife Susan have resided since 2003.
