Grant Russel was first elected to serve as an at-large representative for Findlay in 2013. Prior to taking office, he was appointed to serve the unexpired term as third ward city councilman. He previously served on the City Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Grant is a native of Rocky River Ohio, a west-side suburb of Cleveland. He is a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University where he was a four-year member of The Ohio State University Marching Band.

Grant is a member of the Findlay Kiwanis and an avid bicyclist.  He retired from Marathon Petroleum Company where he worked in the Information Technology (computer) department.

Grant and his wife Susan have two adult children.
