The Parks and Recreation Board is responsible for policy creation functioning the operation for all park and recreation related areas within the city. The Parks & Recreation Board membership and duties are defined in Chapter 145 of the Findlay Codified Ordinances and include:

• the preparation and continuous update of a ten-year capital improvement program
• park maintenance
• the operation of the Riverside Park swimming pool, The Cube, and recreational use of the reservoir system

The Findlay Service Director serves as Chair of the board. The City Engineer also sits on the board. Three board members are appointed by the Mayor to three year terms. The rest of the board is comprised of appointments from Findlay City Council, Findlay City Schools, the Hancock Park District, Hancock Regional Planning Commission.
