Construction Project Update Week of 8/16/2021

The City of Findlay is performing numerous construction projects throughout the city. The status of some of the projects is weather and contractor schedule permitting. Listed below are some of the projects and the restrictions that result from the ongoing projects. These restrictions are in effect from August 16, 2021, through August 20, 2021.

BLUEBONNET DRIVE & BITTERSWEET DRIVE – Lilac Lane to Western Avenue – Bluebonnet Drive and Bittersweet Drive will be closed to through traffic from Lilac Lane to Western Avenue for Sanitary Sewer installation.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. PARKWAY – Access to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway will be closed to all traffic at Blanchard Street, Center Street, Clinton Court and East Main Cross Street for 120 days. Detours will be posted. Updates will be provided.

EAST STREET – Crawford Street to Front Street – East Street will be closed to all traffic from Crawford Street to Front Street as part of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Project.

E. MAIN CROSS STREET – Beech Street to Railroad – E. Main Cross Street will to closed to all traffic from Beech Street to the Railroad Tracks starting July 26, 2021, for 90 days as part of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Project.

LOGAN AVENUE – Harrison Street to Tappan Street – Logan Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Harrison Street to Tappan Street for utility work and roadwork.

The following streets will be closed to through traffic for curb work:
LIBERTY STREET – Sandusky Street to W. Main Cross Street
CRAWFORD STREET – Liberty Street to S. West Street
LAQUINEO STREET – Main Street to Rail Road
FRONT STREET – Western Avenue to Rail Road
GEFFS AVENUE – Lester Avenue to Rector Avenue
LONETREE DRIVE – Longmeadow Lane to Abbey Lane
INTERSTATE COURT – CR 300 to Dead End

Motorists are advised to avoid these areas if possible. Short delays are expected in these areas over the next week.
